Frequently Asked Questions
Our t-shirt designs come from…you and people like you. Artists, organizations, rock bands, and small businesses from around the world post designs on our site to get their art and word out as well as offer you the coolest original designs possible.
At MerchTees.me making sure our contributors make their fair share from the sale of their shirts is our number one priority. We believe the only way to foster the creative community we want to live in is to actively support the creative people out there. You can rest assured that if you buy a shirt the artist, organization, club, band, or small business that posted that shirt will receive your support.
All artists on our site create pages exclusively for their own designs and links to that page can be found in the description, along with any bio information they want to share as well as links to their social media. Oftentimes artists will post as part of the product description bio information as well as thoughts on the creative process for the design in question. It can be fascinating to read.
Absolutely. We welcome all sorts of creatives and entrepreneurs. Want to post your graphics on a tee? Want shirts for your club out there? Own a yoga studio and want to let your students buy some shirts? You are more than welcome and can find information on becoming a contributor here (insert link to contributor welcome page). Please note that all submissions are subject to our contributor terms of use but you will find in general if you come at it with good intentions we are cool and easy to work with.
Please report any issues with any designs you see here (insert link to IP/Moderation page). Our terms of use prohibit anything hateful or exploitive as well as any copyright infringement and all reports will be addressed immediately on a case by case basis. Designs that are a violation of our terms of use will be taken down and repeated violations can result in the taking down of all designs by the contributor. Please bear in mind that what can be offensive for some might not be for others but we will moderate all reported issues to the best of our abilities.
There are great resources for people such as yourself. Adobe Photoshop can now be licensed for a nominal monthly fee rather than bought for hundreds or thousands of dollars (that’s what we do here). There are free graphical programs available such as Gimp or Canva. For all of these there are hundreds of instructional videos on YouTube or elsewhere. However if you are truly stuck we can offer some limited graphical assistance for a nominal fee. This is usually limited to cleaning up graphics, removing backgrounds, and formatting. However please remember that making things less fuzzy is not a thing we can really do and we cannot work off of photos you took on your phone. Please contact customer service for more information.
We use an assortment of quality blank shirts for our products to give you the best choice and assortment of styles and price points to suit your needs. On our site while none of our shirts are cheap what you pay for directly reflects what you get. If you buy our least expensive shirt you will get a fairly standard 18/1 tube cut blank. Functional but nothing fancy. If you spend more you will get something more like a fine 30/1, polished cotton, fitted panel cut. All the details of all the blanks are listed in the product descriptions so please check them out.
Again this can vary from shirt to shirt. The fabric content will always be listed on the product description. Please note that this can vary sometimes based on color. For example even if a shirt is 100% cotton in most colors it will often be a poly blend in heather gray. While a lot of customers love 100% cotton there are any number of great poly/cotton blends that have a great feels so don’t be afraid to try one out. Some of our higher end shirts might even have a tri blend or be of a more exotic material (bamboo etc). We will always be as clear as possible as to the quality, style, and even “feel” of the shirt in the descriptions so let that be your guide.
Each of our products has a size chart in the details for your reference. Check out this article on how to find your best size (hyperlink to the finding your size webpage) here.
Not as such but our very good friends at Five Dollar Tee Shirts (hyperlink) do. Great quality and price. Check them out and tell them we said hello!
